MISSION

Ms. Priyanthi Dissanayake’s mission is simple - To assist as many Sri-Lankan students as possible to immerse themselves in the tried and tested Liberal Arts tradition and cutting edge technologies of the USA.

Priyanthi is confident that with a good educational grounding in the USA, these same students, the future generation of leaders of Sri-Lanka, will have an improved skill set with which to make better informed decisions for the good of all.

BEGINNINGS

Priyanthi’s vocation as a guidance counselor and foreign university placement advisor began in 2001 with her attempts at getting her daughter, Sashikala (Sashi), admitted to a Liberal Arts College in the USA.

Sashi was accepted by the Concordia College in Moorhead, Minnesota, in the fall of 2001 and proved her mettle as an excellent ambassador and an outstanding student. Sashi graduated in three and a half years with double majors and was employed at a Fortune 500 company becoming its national rookie salesperson for 2006. Two weeks on, she accepted another Fortune 500 offer of a management position at double the salary.

Finding a suitable College for Sashi took months of continuous research, stacks of applications and included some rejections. This lengthy process set Priyanthi thinking about the difficulties that other Lankan parents would have to go through to gain College admission for their children. Putting her experiences together, Priyanthi has, since 2001 and now, become a bridge between students who need financial aid and US Colleges who are on the lookout for outstanding, committed and focused international students.


SUCCESS STORY

Today, Priyanthi has the distinction of becoming Sri-Lanka’s foremost individual recruiter to Universities and Colleges in the United States, with one-hundred plus students to her credit since 2001. The institutions that Priyanthi works with offer the maximum possible financial aid package to students introduced by her.

As a result of Priyanthi’s untiring efforts, a College or University education is now within reach of students from middle income families with good GCE Ordinary Level results coupled with a score of 5.5 on the IELTS. The excellent rapport that Priyanthi has built up with the Admissions Directors at each of these Colleges also helps these students get admitted in less than thirty days.
A unique feature with Priyanthi’s students is that they are provided the highest degree of personalized attention and coaching including one-on-one personal attention that they receive before stepping out of Sri-Lanka and at the university itself. A rigorous screening procedure also ensures that her recruitment drive nets in only bona fide students and not potential immigrants.
